There is a mate-terminal coming shortly: http://pub.mate-desktop.org/releases/mate-terminal-1.4.0.tar.xz I believe this may be related to mate-control-center or mate-window-manager. Will look into this further shortly.
mate-terminal is available in the fedora repos now.
