Description Jose Castillo 2012-10-17 10:40:44 EDT
CIFS DFS is a Technology Preview in RHEL 5 but the documents don't state so. It was released as Tech Preview in RHEL 5.3:

But the documentation post RHEL 5.3 -release notes and technical notes- doesn't mention it is still a tech preview. This may confuse customers to think that it is fully supported in RHEL 5 at the moment, which is not the case.

I'm opening this against 5.9 but I guess we need to fix all documentation from 5.3 onwards. Let me know if you need any clarification.

Fixed! The following note has been added to all books:

Starting with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3, CIFS supports Distributed File System (DFS) as a Technology Preview.

Thanks for reporting!
