Description of problem:
This seems to happen quite randomly, within five minutes of the machine booting up. It's either the machine works fine for the whole day, or it just goes down, and me powering off the machine and turning it back on.

Based on the obscure nature of this oops, and the similarly obscure nature of the issue reported in bug 881490, this might be broken hardware.  Have you run memtest86+ overnight on this machine recently?
