hmm. Does this work on 1.4? afaik Caja runs as a daemon and should prompt you via mate-polkit if it needs root perms
I'm using ## Same thing without a password %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL in sudoers config file on my one user system, so no password prompt displayed for active user. And yes, i never notice this error with Mate < 1.5.x in the last year. But i added a 'su' configuration for caja which is described in this workaround http://www.fedorawiki.de/index.php/Nautilus_als_root_starten Sorry, only in german, but the commands are clear. I will observe if this happens also with the command 'caja-su'. Mabe it's an issue which happens only with sudo. But in gerneral the issue will caused by caja-pathbar.c from upstream.
(In reply to comment #12) > I'm using > ## Same thing without a password > %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL > in sudoers config file on my one user system, so no password prompt > displayed for active user. I meant user in wheel group
