Description Tom Hughes 2013-01-17 11:33:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Although arp.dat is owned by arpwatch the /var/lib/arpwatch directory is owned by root, and as arpwatch now seems to update the database by creating a new file and then renaming the directory ownership needs to change.

As it stands the arpwatch just keeps logging errors:

Jan 17 11:29:10 bristol arpwatch: creat(arp.dat.new): Permission denied

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

arpwatch-2.1a15-25.fc18.x86_64
