Description of problem: Description of problem: I don't like the submenus and they get in the way of my development. I prefer the "old style" single list of kernels. I've posted a patch to grub-devel that implements GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU which would eliminate the automatic submenu generation in the grub.cfg. The patch is http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2013-01/msg00126.html and I will backport it and attach it to this BZ shortly. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): grub2-2.00-13.fc18 Additional info: I will attach a tested patch against rawhide's grub2 in a day or two.

Has this been pushed to F18 updates-testing? yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing has nothing https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/search/grub2? no grub2-2.00-16
no, because nobody here cares for released fedora versions http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=6684 this is the last F18 build at all grub2-2.00-15.fc18 2012-12-20 17:11:35 the same for the troubles that grub2-mkconfig that "--unrestricted" is not set if you are using a password for grub2 resulting that you no longer can reboot remote machines if you forgot to change the config manually which is a unacceptable regression with grub2
Really? It'd be very nice to get the GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU option as an update for Fedora 18. I just ran grub2-mkconfig on fc18 box and then found out the kernel list from grub is gone, and there's no way to get it back on the main grub screen (yeah, no backups about grub.cfg on this box).
