Description Dan Forsyth (Dataforge Canada) 2003-05-21 00:24:41 EDT
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)

Description of problem:
If one mounts a SMB share on a W2K server, that contains Mac ?ICON files, when
an ls is given, the Linux server states "cannot stat: no such file or directory"

This is not a problem in RH 5.2 or RH 9

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Samba 2.0.10

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. mount //path/share /mnt/temp -o username=guy password=fake
2. find a directory with some mac encoded filenames in it.
3. ls

Actual Results: stat: ?ICON: No such file or directory

Expected Results: Should have gotten a full ls.

Additional info:

Using backup software, some of my files were not getting backed up due to their
names and 6.2's unablilty to back them up.
