Description of problem: Right now, there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the login window's location on the screen except by patching the source code. This is OK with the default image (which is designed with that in mind) but sometimes users would like to shift it to fit in better with whatever custom image they use. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 17 and 18 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1.Modify /etc/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf to specify a custom background 2.Open /usr/share/lightdm-gtk-greeter/greeter.ui and look for a specification of the window's location. 3. Actual results: There's nothing there to modify Expected results: Being able to specify just where on your screen the window is placed. Additional info: This isn't a bug, as such, but a feature request. Having the window covering up the part of your background image you most want visible instead of something unimportant is only an inconvenience, but it'd be nice if it could be configured.
Feature requests should best sent to lightdm upstream developers. I'd recommend the launchpad link or mailing list referenced on http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/LightDM

This is a feature I am also interested in. Just wanted to cc myself on the bug to follow this and upstream.
thanks
will continue to track upstream, thanks again.
