Hey John,

Thanks for the bug report. Please try latest eclipse build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=403722

Eclipse requires two step build when dependencies are changed (the dep need to be rebuild, and then Eclipse). In this case I had some problems with building Eclipse after eclipse-ecf-core rebuild, and the repo was a few days in the inconsistent state.

I have the same problem where maven options do not show up in the menus (but the plugin is listed in the eclipse plugin listing).

My package versions are:
eclipse-platform-4.3.0-0.28.git38f1df9.fc19
eclipse-m2e-core-1.2.0-7.fc19

When I installed the m2e plugin 1.3.1.20130219-1424 directly from eclipse repository it started working.

My guess is that the m2e 1.2 plugin is not compatible with 4.3 eclipse.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm creating an f19 vm for myself right now. First on my list is to upgrade this package and verify that it works.

Comment 6 Gerard Ryan 2013-04-13 00:37:24 UTC
I've updated to latest 1.3.1 in f19, but it still doesn't seem to be fixed. I'll try to find some time on sunday to go dig deeper and find out what's wrong.

Comment 7 Mikko Tiihonen 2013-05-07 09:50:22 UTC
After using f19 eclipse for a while I think I have observed a pattern where upgrading some of the eclipse core package rpms breaks the m2e installation.
It did not seem to matter for me if the m2e installation was from rpm or from the update site.

My workaround currently is after each yum update that modifies eclipse I re-install the m2e plugin from the 1.4 milestone update site.

The currently shipped version of eclipse-m2c-core cause
some other problem. It is not possible to import an
multi-tier maven JEE project. m2e issues a problem
in my EAR generation subproject pom.xml file.

With m2e 1.3, this problem did not occur.

I've submitted an update that should fix the original issue here. Please try it if you get a chance, and let me know if it works for you.

Hi Christian, thanks for the feedback. If you are using f19, this might solve your problem. If not then please open a new bug, as this one will be autoclosed once the updated package fixing this original issue hits the f19 stable repo. Thanks!

Salut Gerad,

i was wrong .... i compared the behaviour
with a downloaded tar.gz installation and
found out, that the m2e version differed.

When i deinstalled m2e 1.2 and re-installed
it using the markedplace tool, the bug was
back again, .... for any reason.

Sorry, i am using F18 not F19!
