So.. There is a posisble?? workaround : 

mount -o /tmp/supermount/subA /submount/a
mount -o /tmp/supermount/subB /submount/b 

In this case, we would have a federated glusternamespace... 

Will forward this along the gluster mailing list to see if its reasonable.

Brad, you should move this to modified as your multi-volume pull request resolved this.
