Description of problem: Installing Anshi from ISO and registering it to 6.4.z base channel does not further allow me to register to rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhs-2.0. I believe this is still WIP and that child channels are not aligned yet. Filing this for tracking purpose. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHS-2.0-20130410.0-RHS-x86_64-DVD1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Anshi from ISO 2. Register to rhel-x86_64-server-6.2.z 3. Re-register to rhel-x86_64-server-6.4.z using rhn.redhat.com 4. Ensure that base channel is updated to rhel-x86_64-server-6.4.z on the system. 5. Now try adding rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhs-2.0. Actual results: rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhs-2.0 channel not added. Expected results: rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhs-2.0 channel should be added successfully. Additional info:
Not a bug. We'll have to create a new child channel for Big Bend i.e. rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhs-2.1 or smth that will be a child channel for RHEL 6.4.z EUS maintenance stream and only then you can do the operation that you are trying to do now.
Agree and hence I said "Filing this for tracking purpose." Should we keep this open as a tracker bug ?
Ok to keep it open.
Now upon re-registering to 6.4.z I can add RHS-2.1 as child channel. Verified!
