Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.10.7-2.fc19 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start pidgin with 'pidgin -n' (to start offline) 2. disable all but one accouns, make 'available' 3. enable any other additional account (have tested w/ both an irc and jabber) Actual results: pidgin freezes Expected results: happily signs into the additional account(s) Additional info:
I've seen a lot of freezes myself, but haven't found the reason yet. Disabling some plugins made it better, but I noticed it now crashes when the network connections drops or comes back. Will try to investigate further, but there definitely is something fishy here on F19
Talked to folks in the #pidgin channel on Freenode and they suggested it could be part of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698081 I've confirmed that I'm running 2.36 out of updates-testing.
(In reply to comment #2) > > I've confirmed that I'm running 2.36 out of updates-testing. I've built and installed a glib2 with the patch from the bug and it seems to help so far, as some things didn't crash pidgin anymore. I'll change the bug to glib2 tomorrow if things stay that way

Or if you are lazy let me know, then I'll take care of it myself (but I don#t want to step on anybodies toes)

I'd rather have the fix come in with the next upstream release; but if this important for you, feel free to put the patch in the package for now.
