Description of problem: Empathy online status control is disabled and cannot be set by the user. It is always "away" in my case, even when I'm using the desktop. Also when I click my name in the gnome shell upper right corner, the status is set to "idle" always and cannot be changed. My guess is that these are tied but there is no control for that.
