Description Hisanobu Okuda 2013-05-15 02:36:51 EDT
Description of problem:

Caused by the issue [1], many of the following entries are written in server.log.

12:25:28,824 ERROR [org.jboss.security] (http-/0.0.0.0:8080-1) PBOX000206: Login failure: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Continuation Required.

Just wanted to filter them out of the logfile, I tried this category:

  <logger category="org.jboss.security">
    <level name="WARN"/>
    <filter>
      <not>
        <match pattern="PBOX000206.*Continuation Required"/>
      </not>
    </filter>
  </logger>

but unfortunately this doesn't help.

Comment 1 Hisanobu Okuda 2013-05-15 02:43:21 EDT
12:25:28,824 ERROR [org.jboss.security] (http-/0.0.0.0:8080-1) PBOX000206: Login failure: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Continuation Required.

The above message consists of ExtLogRecord.getMessage() ("PBOX000206: Login failure:") and ExtLogRecord.getThrown() ("javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Continuation Required."), and the filter works only for ExtLogRecord.getMessage(). It should be work for ExtLogRecord.getMessage() + ExtLogRecord.getThrown().
Comment 2 James Perkins 2013-05-15 19:20:15 EDT
Filters are processed only on the raw unformatted message. There is a JBoss Log Manager JIRA (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/LOGMGR-66) to allow filtering on formatted messages.
