with a MSI K8D Master Series motherboard

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-smp-2.4.20-9.2

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Additional info:

As this server is in evaluation this will be the only posting, however the issue
is now known... here is the email I posted to amd64-list

Here's the problems I noticed while evaluating the new distribution using the
new MSI motherboard:

-Problems with the way eth0 and eth1 are assigned. It seems that you need to
plug the physical cable into eth1 on the mainboard and the kernel will recognize
the port as eth0.
I never did get anything to work properly in the physical eth0 port on the
mainboard.
Further when installing via DHCP you need to let DHCP fail on both eth0 and eth1
before the interface will finally come up on eth0 the second time. After
install this is no longer a problem.

-XFree86 rpm's didn't install properly, install using the 'server' configuration.

-When using redhat's overloaded FTP server I got the following error during
install:
<4> anaconda[10] general protection rip: 2a95d10bd0 rsp: 7fbfffe248 error 0

-When everything was installed and running:
the following process was found in top
CPU0 states: 0.0% user 0.0% system 0.0% nice 0.0% iowait 100.0% idle

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
