Without the double '.'s the given address is a valid hostname. Not catching the double '.' is a bug.

Fix for 974393 also fixes this. The fis is under review at https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/9216/

Verified the bug on nightly build glusterfs-3.4.0.12rhs.beta3-1373473979.el6.x86_64.rpm.
