Description of problem:

The hp-wmi module in kernel-3.9.6-301.fc19 hard-blocks the
Wifi interface on the Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv6 laptop.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-3.9.6-301.fc19
kernel-modules-extra-3.9.6-301.fc19

How reproducible:

Install kernel-3.9.6-301.fc19 on the HP Pavilion dv6 laptop using yum

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum update && yum upgrade
2. reboot
3. ping www.redhat.com

Actual results:

Wifi interface is hard-blocked and no network connection is available

Expected results:

Network connection

Additional info:

Temporary fix is to unload the hp-wmi module

rmmod -f hp-wmi
