Description of problem:
I have been having some trouble with no sound after a kernel upgrade to kernel
2.4.20-18.8 using up2date. After removing and reinstalling several times, I
thought I would just include what my log states during bootup:

Jun 24 22:01:24 localhost kernel: i810_audio: only 48Khz playback available.
Jun 24 22:01:24 localhost kernel: i810_audio: AC'97 codec 0 Unable to map
surround DAC's (or DAC's not present), total channels = 2
Jun 24 22:01:24 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-3
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. run up2date, let it install kernel
2. reboot system to using new kernel
3. no sound at all. System still detects sound hardware, but there is no sound.
