Description jd1008 2013-07-04 12:29:25 EDT
Description of problem:
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/mandb from 'getattr' accesses on the file /usr/share/man/man1/dvda-author.1.xz.

***** Plugin restorecon (94.8 confidence) suggests *************************

If you want to fix the label.
/usr/share/man/man1/dvda-author.1.xz default label should be man_t.
Then you can run restorecon.
Do
# /sbin/restorecon -v /usr/share/man/man1/dvda-author.1.xz

***** Plugin catchall_labels (5.21 confidence) suggests ********************

If you want to allow mandb to have getattr access on the dvda-author.1.xz file
Then you need to change the label on /usr/share/man/man1/dvda-author.1.xz

restorecon -v '/usr/share/man/man1/dvda-author.1.xz'

***** Plugin catchall (1.44 confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that mandb should be allowed getattr access on the dvda-author.1.xz file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep mandb /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Daniel Walsh 2013-07-05 07:25:07 EDT
restorecon -R -v /usr/share/man

Should fix the problem. default_t is the wrong label for content in /usr
