Can you describe a little more detailed what happend? Did this issue occurs frequently ?
Rhythmbox crashed (happened too with Banshee) and then the mate-notification-daemon just crashed, 2 or 3 seconds later the mate-panel crashed too, don't really know if this is a mate problem or what, but this just happened to me one time.
This make something clear. Seems like Rhythmbox and Banshee crashed m-n-d. They use notification for ie. song change, etc. I will leave the report open for a while, to see if a crash of the players trigger a m-n-d crash again. Pls notice me about this.
