The smartctl command will give you SMART disk status. You can install and run it from the Live environment:

$ sudo yum install smartmontools -y
$ sudo smartctl -H /dev/sda
http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net/

Contacting Toshiba for disk diagostics would be even better.
