Description of problem:
During the boot-up process, there is a long delay due to errors with two Maxtor
hdds (hde and hdg).  The boot-up process takes on average 10 minutes and 42
seconds whereas it should definitely be under 5 minutes.  The errors are
"PDC202XX" dealing with channel reset and error=0x04 and status=0x51.

How reproducible:
Easily done here, it's everytime I restart the computer.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot-up
2. Select the kernel with grub
3. Proceeds and errors become present and the boot-up process becomes very slow

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
