Description Stephen Herr 2018-08-16 02:54:11 UTC
Flaw bug created to hold information about an old flaw we knew something about. For more details see the MITRE CVE description.

Comment 1 Stephen Herr 2018-08-16 17:47:23 UTC
MITRE description:

The SSL/TLS handshaking code in OpenSSL 0.9.7a, 0.9.7b, and 0.9.7c, when using Kerberos ciphersuites, does not properly check the length of Kerberos tickets during a handshake, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted SSL/TLS handshake that causes an out-of-bounds read.

Comment 2 Stephen Herr 2019-06-13 19:15:44 UTC
Statement:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is not vulnerable to this issue as it contains a backported patch.
