UDF has bugs on truncating. When doing:

    dd if=/dev/zero of=aaa bs=1024k count=2 seek=3000

Linux will hang and die.

The current upstream patch needs further work:

Note already fixed in 2.6.18 and didn't affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
