Red Hat Product Errata RHSA-2013:0145 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE Critical: thunderbird security update 2013-01-09 02:15:27 UTC

Description Huzaifa S. Sidhpurwala 2013-01-05 13:39:04 UTC
Security researcher Mariusz Mlynski reported that it is possible to bypass Chrome Object Wrappers (COW) and open a chrome privileged web page through plugin objects. This could allow for arbitrary code execution.

In general these flaws cannot be exploited through email in the Thunderbird and SeaMonkey products because scripting is disabled, but are potentially a risk in browser or browser-like contexts in those products.
