It was reported that Wireshark's Frame metadissector could crash. It may be possible to make Wireshark crash by injecting a malformed packet onto the wire or by convincing someone to read a malformed packet trace file. This is reported to affect Wireshark versions 1.10.0 to 1.10.7. Statement: This issue does not affect the versions of wireshark as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6. It does affect the versions of wireshark as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. The Red Hat Security Response Team has rated this issue as having Moderate security impact, a future update may address this flaw.
