Successful attack of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. It appears most of the CVE's related to mysql55-mysql* have been addressed for RHEL-6. Can we expect a fix for RHEL-5? If not, is it because the distro is in maintenance phase? In past, the Red Hat CVE pages contained verbage as to which distros are affected. I don't see it on any of the CVE pages listed below.
