Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: Client programs). Supported versions that are affected are 5.6.44 and prior, 5.7.26 and prior and  8.0.16 and prior. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where MySQL Server executes to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all MySQL Server accessible data.

Even though this CVE was listed in Oracle's Oct 2019 CPU, it is listed as fixed in versions 5.6.45, 5.7.27, and 8.0.17, which were released with Jul 2019 CPU.

The MySQL 8.0 packages as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and Red Hat Software Collections were previously updated to the fixed version 8.0.17 via the following errata:
