Description Laura Pardo 2019-01-18 21:44:37 UTC
In Wireshark 2.6.0 to 2.6.5 and 2.4.0 to 2.4.11, the P_MUL dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-p_mul.c by rejecting the invalid sequence number of zero.

Created wireshark tracking bugs for this issue:

Affects: fedora-all [bug 1667582]

Comment 3 Riccardo Schirone 2019-03-08 16:08:06 UTC
Function wmem_map_lookup() in wmem_map.c receives p_mul_data->ack_data, which is NULL, from register_p_mul_id(). When wmem_map_lookup() tries to dereference the passed value, the application crashes.
