Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: Security: Privileges). Supported versions that are affected are 5.7.39 and prior and 8.0.16 and prior. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of MySQL Server accessible data.

Even though this CVE was listed in Oracle's Oct 2022 CPU, it is listed as fixed in version 8.0.17, which was released with Jul 2019 CPU. The MySQL packages as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and Red Hat Software Collections were previously updated to the fixed version 8.0.17 via the following errata:
