A heap use-after-free issue was discovered in Yasm's expand_mmac_params() function in nasm-pp.c file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into opening specially crafted file, triggering an out-of-bounds read access, causing an application to halt or crash, leading to a denial of service.

yasm 1.3.0.55.g101bc was discovered to contain a heap-use-after-free via the function expand_mmac_params at yasm/modules/preprocs/nasm/nasm-pp.c.
