Doc Text:
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel's net/atm/ioctl.c (ATM networking technology driver): do_vcc_ioctl in net/atm/ioctl.c is vulnerable to use-after-free due to a race condition in vcc_recvmsg. This issue can allow an attacker to possibly gain unauthorized access, escalate privileges, or cause the system to crash.

Description Patrick Del Bello 2024-01-10 13:13:13 UTC
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.6.8. do_vcc_ioctl in net/atm/ioctl.c has a use-after-free because of a vcc_recvmsg race condition.

Comment 1 Patrick Del Bello 2024-01-10 13:13:40 UTC
Created kernel tracking bugs for this issue:

Affects: fedora-all [bug 2257684]

Comment 3 Justin M. Forbes 2024-01-10 19:47:58 UTC
This was fixed for Fedora with the 6.6.8 stable kernel updates.

Comment 7 Marcelo Ricardo Leitner 2024-01-11 20:59:34 UTC
Where is the patch for this one? Can't see it in here and I can't open the parent bug.
