Description Libor Fuka 2012-10-31 10:27:44 UTC
Affects: Release Notes
project_key: JBEWS

We found that the library jaspter-jdt.jar is included only for Tomcat7/lib for Windows, Solaris and RHEL6 zips, but for RHEL5 zip, the jaspter-jdt.jar is included in tomcat6 and 7.

jaspter-jdt.jar is not included in RPM RHEL5, RHEL6.

Its the same file like jasper-jdt.jar, there must be bug in build process.
So, what will be solution ?
Remove jaspter-jdt.jar file from all affected zips or can we live with this ?

May be, write it to Release Notes ?

Assigning to David for fixing in the next release as Weinan suggested.

Comment 3 Libor Fuka 2012-10-31 15:42:37 UTC
It affects ZIPs we can't rebuild them, so we should add this one to Known Issues and fix it in new release

Release Notes Docs Status: Added: Documented as Known Issue
Writer: Added: mhusnain
Release Notes Text: Added: The file jaspter-jdt.jar is packaged in JBoss Enterprise Web Server's Tomcat 7 library for Windows and Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 ZIP installation files. Additionally, in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 ZIP files, the file is included in both the Tomcat 6 and 7 libraries. jaspter-jdt.jar should be called jasper-jdt.jar but the spelling error does not affect its function in JBoss Enterprise Web Server.

@David, can you please review the Doc Text content?

Comment 9 David Knox 2013-05-20 19:43:41 UTC
the misnamed jar has been removed from the distro
 tomcat7-7.0.30-6_patch_03.ep6.el5
 tomcat6-6.0.35-13_patch_07.ep6.el5

There is no longer a need for documentation

Comment 12 Michal Haško 2013-05-23 09:38:13 UTC
VERIFIED on 2.0.1-ER2 RHEL (zip, rpm), Windows and Solaris
