Description of problem: In glusterfs's source repository we have logrotate config file called 'glusterfs-logrotate', which should be added to RHS 2.0 build Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHS 2.0 Beta1 Providing a enhanced logrotate config will help us to manage the big log files etc.
Created attachment 568823 [details] logrotate file for gluster specific files. We surely need a logrotate conf file for RHS 2.0 as Sometimes Gluster's log can grow big. The attached file is a sample logrotate config for the gluster specific logs. Please review it and include it in the next build.
So is there nothing required to add to logrotate as part of RHEL? This is just the config file, correct?
Yes it is just a config file, needs to be placed in /etc/logrotate.d/ directory. I had made some basic sanity check that 'logrotate' package is already part of RHS Alpha image, and it is scheduled to run daily once through /etc/cron.daily/, I feel this can be present only in RHS for now as GlusterFS is planned to be supported only through the RHS, not through RHEL
