Description of problem: It is possible to change filesystem from ext4 to tmpfs. After that, filesystem field becomes disabled and it is not possible to change back. Besides that, tmpfs "partitions" also have size which is substracted from total disk free, and choice of volume group. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): anaconda-20.25.14-1.fc20.x86_64 How reproducible: Always
Probably, creating tmpfs should be disabled for now. Adding to freeze exception tracker.
Discussed in 2013-12-09 Blocker Review meeting [1]. Voted an AcceptedFreezeException. A fix will be considered past freeze. This is obviously bad installer behaviour that can't be fixed post-release. [1] http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2013-12-09/
Sure, I also thing disabling it int the GUI for the time being is the best solution. On a related note: * it already works fine with kickstart * disabling it in the GUI doesn't influence the creation of automatically created tmpfs partitions (such as procfs related stuff & /tmp on tmpfs (which is actually just mounted by systemd and does not even have a line in fstab))
