I am sorry if I do not have this completely done correctly. All the fields to fill in are a bit daunting for the uninitiated compared to ubuntu's launchpad. I am a very new linux user so I am not familiar with the packages and how to know what to report this against. But doing what I can by taking the time to fill this out. Description of problem: when updating package lists (in the GUI)... failed to get a TID: A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.PackageKit.Transaction" member "SetLocale" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.PackageKit") (0) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. from panel... system->administration->add/remove software 2. then from the gui... system->refresh package lists 3. Actual results: failed to get a TID: A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.PackageKit.Transaction" member "SetLocale" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.PackageKit") (0) Expected results: should update package lists and allow searching for packages from the repos Additional info: this is on both my aging custom p4 desktop system with brand new f10-i686 from live cd as well as my HP dv2120us laptop with brand new f10-x86_64 installed from DVD. both from iso images downloaded from fedoraproject within the past two days (dec 7-8 2008). in the case of the i686 live cd install, interestingly, it worked albeit slowly at first until I did the first batch of security updates. however, the dvd install went fine finding all the packages it needed (i selected some extra repos for the x86_64 dvd install - the i686 live cd install did not have a net connection until a few hours ago).
