I set the timer feature to refresh the UI every 60 seconds and had this running over night. When I came back this morning I saw - refreshing stopped after some time (probably the 1h session timeout) - the timer value in the menu bar got negative (but was counting) In this state, clicking on stop of the refresh or even clicking on some other resource will always redirect back to the monitoring page I was standing on. Selecting the Dashboard from the menu let me "escape". Actually after some more trying: the counter is just decreasing from e.g. 10 to 0 and then directly continuing with -1 -- this has nothing to do with the session timeout. When it hits 0 it does not refresh the monitoring page and never ever afterwards (*). When trying to set the interval of the data shown to another value I get 10:57:50,477 ERROR [lifecycle] JSF1054: (Phase ID: RESTORE_VIEW 1, View ID: ) Exception thrown during phase execution: javax.faces.event.PhaseEvent[source=com.sun.faces.lifecycle.LifecycleImpl@bdc469] 10:57:50,478 WARN [ExceptionFilter] handling uncaught exception javax.servlet.ServletException: viewId:/rhq/autogroup/monitor/graphs.xhtml - View /rhq/autogroup/monitor/graphs.xhtml could not be restored. (*) Actually from looking at the RT log, the graphs.xhtml page is loaded again and again, but not any call to refresh the graphs. Also the graphs are not "moved to the left" - the end time shown stays the same
