Description Stefan Becker 2010-08-14 13:04:00 UTC
Description of problem:

I preupgraded from F13 to F14. Now KDE logout dialog only shows "Logout", but no "Restart Computer" and "Turn Off Computer".

F14 switched to systemd, so my guess this is related.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kdebase-workspace-4.5.0-2.fc14.i686

How reproducible: always

Comment 1 Carl G. 2010-08-15 08:03:01 UTC
Yeah i believe it's an issue w. systemd. Could you try booting w. a different init. system?

Comment 2 Stefan Becker 2010-08-15 08:18:26 UTC
How?

Comment 3 Kevin Kofler 2010-08-15 15:48:39 UTC
And how are you starting KDE? KDM? GDM? Some other DM? startx?

Comment 4 Kevin Kofler 2010-08-15 15:51:00 UTC
The output of:
ck-list-sessions
can help debugging the problem, especially if you're not using KDM. (KDM has its own shutdown/reboot mechanism. When KDM is not used, in Fedora, we use ConsoleKit to shutdown/reboot.)

Comment 5 Stefan Becker 2010-08-25 04:13:02 UTC
I'm using GDM. I'll check this again after updating the system to the Fedora 14 alpha release.

Comment 6 Stefan Becker 2010-08-25 13:23:54 UTC
Whatever the problem was, it is now fixed in F14 Alpha.
