Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/6223 from this bug Sachin, The systens description Max length was changed to 1000 characters. That is the reason its not complaining at 255 for you. Please fail the bug if it doesnot complain after crossing 1000 Thank you Partha for confirming the limit. There should be some limit set on it. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): snap5 compose2 (MDP2) katello-1.4.6-31.el6sat.noarch How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a system 2. edit system description with more than 255 characters 3. Actual results: No limit set on description as user can enter more than 255 characters Expected results: there should be some limit as it was set in old UI Additional info:
