Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

After discussions in IRC, this is actually working, it is just not obvious. When you click 'reload data from katello', a spinner pops up and goes away, but nothing appears.

The user has to click within the input box to see a dropdown of available keys. We should make this more obvious.

Comment 2 Bryan Kearney 2014-01-21 19:08:02 UTC
Moving to Sat6 to be tracked there. Upstream bugs are moving to redmine.

Comment 3 RHEL Program Management 2014-01-21 19:18:53 UTC
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 6 Dominic Cleal 2014-01-22 09:32:25 UTC
Activation key code is in Katello, not Foreman.

Comment 17 Bryan Kearney 2017-02-07 18:23:35 UTC
I do not see this bug being addressed in the near future. There is an upstream issue created, and we will ship it as soon as it is released. However, we will not be tracking this downstream.

Bryan,
I have a support case open for a customer that I'm tracking against this feature. Could we please keep this bugzilla open until the upstream patch is included and shipped in a future version of Satellite?

Comment 19 Andrew Sanders 2017-07-13 15:27:52 UTC
Bryan,
Since there's an upstream issue to track this can we please keep this bugzilla open so that the upstream bug can be tracked and tied to an official satellite 6.x release?
