Description Severin Gehwolf 2013-10-24 12:47:36 UTC
This bug is filed because hadoop in rawhide lists jline as R/BR in its spec file. Please see bug 1022897 for more info. Note that jline will become version 2.x. It would be strongly preferred if hadoop could be made to work with jline 2.x. If this is not possible please change the R/BR to jline1 (see bug 1022908). Note that jline1 might get retired in a future version of Fedora. As such jline 2.x should be used if at all possible.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Comment 1 Severin Gehwolf 2013-10-24 12:48:26 UTC
Please close this bug once hadoop has been updated in rawhide.

Comment 2 Severin Gehwolf 2013-11-06 11:22:29 UTC
Robert, looking at https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-9342 it seems hadoop doesn't really depend on jline. Could it be that removing jline from R/BRs should not break the build? Can you confirm?

Comment 3 Robert Rati 2013-12-02 17:59:01 UTC
It seems hadoop doesn't have a direct dependency on jline. The BuildRequires will be removed in the next build.
