Description of problem:
The link status of network details page detect the physical connected state of a network cable/connector.
but after clean install ovirt-node-iso-3.1.0-0.999.1209.el6.iso and select one nic into network details page, check that
Link status shows disconnected although the cable is plugged.

do you know what the root cause is? The ip cmd lacking functionality or driver problems, ...?

This is due to it miss to execute "ip link set dev {dev} up" before check "1" in
/sys/class/net/{dev}/carrier.
