Comment 2 Joshua 2014-03-13 16:45:31 UTC
I just encountered this same issue same error.

openarena worked fine on fc19 x86_64

I am using rpmfusion nvidia driver. GTX m780

Comment 3 Paul DeStefano 2014-03-24 06:45:23 UTC
Me too, exact same scenario. But, I'm glad Joshua says he has nvidia, because I have ATi and was terrified that it was just going to be me.

Did you see this: bug 1018398 ? I get it, but I've never had to install an rpm from an old repository before. That's a whole new level of annoyance. If I hadn't just upgraded, I'm sure I could just pull the old package with yum, but that's not an option now. I will try to pull the old rpm from the repo manually...

Comment 4 Paul DeStefano 2014-03-24 07:13:53 UTC
Bingo. quake3-1.36-17.svn2102.fc19 works, quake3-1.36-18.svn2102.fc20 does not.

Comment 5 Andre Robatino 2014-06-19 02:30:38 UTC
I have 3 machines and see this error in crashlog.txt on all three, but openarena only fails to run on two of them, so it may not be related. The graphics are Intel 82865 for the one that works (this is blacklisted and uses GNOME software rendering), and Intel Q45/Q43 and Nvidia 6150SE nForce 430 with the proprietary nvidia driver for the other two. Will attach crashlog.txt for all three.

Comment 9 Andre Robatino 2014-06-19 02:39:50 UTC
Ignore the attachment for Intel 82865, that file was copied from my Intel Q45/Q43 machine when I rsync'd my home dir to it. Presumably crashlog.txt only gets created when there is an actual crash, so the error in the Summary is indeed related.

Comment 10 Andre Robatino 2014-06-23 01:31:08 UTC
This looks like a duplicate of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1018398 (for Rawhide).

Comment 13 Fedora End Of Life 2015-11-04 13:25:04 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 21 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 21. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '21'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 21 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 14 Knut J BJuland 2015-11-27 16:27:15 UTC
Fixed in fedora 23.

Comment 15 Fedora End Of Life 2015-12-02 03:05:56 UTC
Fedora 21 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-12-01. Fedora 21 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
