Description GenadiC 2014-03-31 07:19:00 UTC
Description of problem:
If you have configured Network Provider and try to import Network from it, you need to have that network provider selected automatically with all its network.
Today you need to select it manually.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure Network Provider for your setup
2. Try to import network from that Network Provider
3.

Actual results:
You need manually to select Network Provider

Expected results:
Network Provider should be chosen automatically

Additional info:
After selecting Network Provider, you have bland line (probably to deselect it) that leaves networks of that Network Provider as is

Target release should be placed once a package build is known to fix a issue. Since this bug is not modified, the target version has been reset. Please use target milestone to plan a fix for a oVirt release.

Genadi, I do not understand what you meant here.

Are you looking for an "import all network" checkbox, to select all available external networks?

Comment 4 Meni Yakove 2016-03-28 08:24:31 UTC
Actually, this bug requested to automatically choose a provider when only a single one is defined. As tested by mburman, this is the behaviour of ovirt-3.6.

Comment 5 Dan Kenigsberg 2016-03-28 09:25:07 UTC
Michael reports that what I've written in comment 4 is correct only when we import from a preselected provider. When we import a network via the DC, we are still expected to select the provider.

That behaviour is the intentional one. Otherwise, if the first provider is not responsive, the user would be greeted by an inexplicable rotating sprite.
