Previously, when an autofs mount used the "browse" option, autofs could create directories that did not correspond to map entries within its map. This was due to autofs not properly checking for entries that corresponded to previously failed mount attempts, the so-called "negative entries". The check for negative map entries has been corrected, and autofs now works as intended.
