Description Dan Mossor [danofsatx] 2014-05-18 04:45:57 UTC
Description of problem:

On every change to equalizer settings, whether it be via selecting a preset or hitting the "apply settings" button, volume output resets to zero. This is aggravating, especially on a laptop with a touchpad, and makes fine tuning the EQ settings nearly impossible.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

pulseaudio-equalizer-2.7-12.fc20.noarch

pulseaudio-libs-glib2-4.0-13.gitf81e3.fc20.x86_64

pulseaudio-libs-4.0-13.gitf81e3.fc20.i686
pulseaudio-module-gconf-4.0-13.gitf81e3.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time - 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the pulseaudio-equalizer configuration application
2. Adjust any setting of any of the 15 bands, or simply select a preset from the dropdown.
3. Press the "apply settings" button (this step is not needed if a preset was selected in step 2)

Actual results:
Volume resets to zero.

Expected results:
Audio output modified in accordance with EQ settings, volume unchanged.

Is anybody maintaining this package? The lack of action on bugs reported against it is disturbing.
