Judging from the version numbers this is caused by the UTF-8 speed-up patch. :-( Please try 2.5.1-21. Fedora Core 1 update is 2.5.1-17.4. An errata has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
