Description Kenn Humborg 2000-05-05 21:36:07 UTC
Out of the box RH6.2. No updates applied. Add the mailcheck applet
to the GNOME panel. In the mailcheck properties dialog, set the
command to run on click to be simply Eterm.

When you click, an Eterm process starts but goes into an infinite
loop. No window appears.

Using xterm works fine.

I discovered this when trying to make it run Eterm -e mutt.

This appears to be a problem with the gen_util_applet, and not with Eterm (I can
launch Eterm from my box from the "Run program" dialog and can run it from a
launcher on the panel. I am reassigning this to the maintainer of gnome-core
(gnome-core is the package that contains the gen_util_applet used in this case).

This bug might be fixed in the new release of GNOME which is coming out in a few
days - we will be putting the new release in Rawhide and checking it out.
