This is caused by use of qxl, see a similar report here: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/virt/2014-August/004105.html Ubuntu historically wants to use vmvga as the graphics device, we should carry that forward for future ubuntu versions. Fixed upstream: commit 7d25dbe7a3d6a53211ada57e7312495fcf7a34cc Author: Cole Robinson <crobinso> Date: Sat Sep 6 13:36:48 2014 -0400 osdict: Always use vmvga for ubuntu virt-manager-1.0.1-4.fc20 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 20. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/virt-manager-1.0.1-4.fc20 Package virt-manager-1.0.1-4.fc20: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 20 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
