Proposing as Fedora 21 Final Blocker per criteria "Default Application Functionality" - "All applications that can be launched using the standard graphical mechanism of a release-blocking desktop after a default installation of that desktop must start successfully and withstand a basic functionality test." https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_21_Final_Release_Criteria#Default_application_functionality Is this repeatable, or was it a one-time occurrence ? This is infinitely repeatable, for me. I have yet to take a successful photo through gnome-control-center. It crashes every time. I get a video stream, but as soon as I take the photo and the screen flashes, the whole program segfaults out. I've also made a new user account, just in case I had some faulty settings in my original account - but it does the same thing either way. One piece of additional info, in case it helps track the problem... I tried the control center of F20 - and it works without issue. However, I'm getting a very similar bug (though no ABRT alert yet) if I update to gnome 3.12 using the copr repo. As soon as the photo is 'taken' the control center crashes there as well. I'm unable to test this at the moment on bare metal under F21. Some issues with the new kernel workaround for the microcode problem are making it very hard to have a reasonably stable F21 system installed. I get nouveau errors during boot (though it eventually starts - usually) and a usable optimus config seems to be a lost cause. There is duplicated Bug 1150420 for cheese. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1121294 *** |
